Here is a nymph pattern that works very well in bowmans and s branch tunkhannock. Killer pattern in the waters around Cody, Wyoming.
hook: 9672 size 8 or 10.
rib: gold wire.
tail: silver with slight black cat hair.
body: silver, black, and gray cat hair.
thorax: same as body.
bead: gold size 5/32 or 3/16.
hackle: grizzly
thread: gray
1. once you have thread attached to hook tie in the tail. tie in the ribbing now.
2. build up the body now, either use a dubbing loop or wax, don't skimp on the hair ,the buggier the better. now do the thorax.
3. after the thorax is done wrap the gold wire forward thru body and
thorax.
4. wrap the grizzly, whip finish and cement.
I also do well with this pattern in red wire, copper bead and copper wire, black bead. If you fish heavy fast pocket water switch to tungsten beads.
Fish this pattern deep and hang on to your rod.
